THE LOTT IMPACT TROPHY
THE TROPHY
Honoring college football’s Defensive IMPACT Player of the Year.
The Lott IMPACT® Trophy Honors College Football’s Defensive Best
Established by The Pacific Club IMPACT® Foundation, The Lott IMPACT® Trophy, presented by Allied Universal, is awarded annually to the nation’s top defensive player, who also exhibits the characteristics of Ronnie Lott by making an IMPACT® on and off the field. IMPACT® is an acronym for Integrity, Maturity, Performance, Academics, Community and Tenacity.*
The Pacific Club IMPACT® Foundation
The mission of the Pacific Club IMPACT Foundation is to honor the nation’s most outstanding collegiate defensive football players who exemplify the core values of Integrity, Maturity, Performance, Academics, Community, and Tenacity - both on and off the field.
Through this recognition, we champion a spirit of character-driven leadership while raising vital funds to support underprivileged youth. Our goal is to provide these children with the opportunities, education, and resources they need to reach their full potential.
The Lott IMPACT® Trophy has become a symbol of the positive attributes many college athletes represent. Several LIT alumni have gone on to excel in areas outside of football including medicine, business, broadcasting and charitable work.
The Lott IMPACT® Trophy was named in honor of Ronnie Lott, a two-time All-American for USC and College Football Hall of Fame Inductee. Ronnie Lott went on to win four Super Bowl rings with the San Francisco 49ers, was named All-Pro eight times and to the Pro Bowl ten times. He is a member of Pro Football’s Hall of Fame and the 75th anniversary all-NFL team. He is a leader who makes an IMPACT® both on and off the field and continues to exemplify character in his personal life.
* In order to be named either a finalist or the winner of the trophy, a player must commit to and be in attendance at the annual trophy presentation ceremony.
